FIRE! Modern Combat Team: From the very beginning, our goal with FIRE! has been clear: to create a fast-paced, exciting game without unnecessary complications. We focused on simple rules and well-designed accessories to ensure a smooth and immersive experience.
Everything you need to play comes in the core box—just open it, set up, and jump straight into the action! With FIRE!, you can enjoy intense 1-hour battles with just a few miniatures, but with all the thrill of an epic showdown. Ready for battle?
Tactical Depth & Realism
Michael: FIRE! Modern Combat offers real-time action, reaction mechanics, and initiative shifts, making battles feel dynamic and immersive. How did you design the gameplay mechanics to balance strategic depth with accessibility?
FIRE! Modern Combat Team: The game revolves around managing your command points each turn and knowing the perfect moment for your troops to take action. We’ve streamlined the rules as much as possible while keeping the core elements of modern warfare—battlefield uncertainty, deadly weapons, and the constant pressure of making decisions that impact your troops.
Our goal? A rule system that’s easy to pick up, even for those who’ve never played a miniatures wargame before. Whether you’re a veteran wargamer or a newcomer, FIRE! is designed to pull you right into the action!
Customization & Fireteam Design
Michael: One of the most exciting pledge options is the ability to design a custom fireteam. How does this process work, and how does it allow backers to influence the future of FIRE! Modern Combat?
FIRE! Modern Combat Team: The backer will have the opportunity to design four miniatures compatible with FIRE! to their liking. We will assist with art direction, sketches, weapon and equipment selection, and handle the manufacturing of their miniatures.
Of course, if these miniatures fit into our future release plans, additional models may be created to expand this new range.
Miniatures, Terrain & Components
Michael: The game features high-quality metal miniatures, modular scenery, and detailed game tokens. What went into the design and production process to ensure both realism and high replayability?
FIRE! Modern Combat Team: One of the core pillars of FIRE! is staying as true to reality as possible. To achieve this, we conduct extensive research to ensure our miniatures are designed with the correct equipment and weaponry.
The same attention to detail applies to the scenery, which is crafted to be versatile for different settings and to recreate conflicts from around the world. Even the tokens have been carefully designed to be easy to interpret and clearly visible during gameplay.
The Future of FIRE! Modern Combat & SEN Games
Michael: FIRE! Modern Combat is launching with multiple factions and expansion potential. What’s next for the game? Do you plan to introduce more units, campaign modes, or new modern warfare scenarios?
FIRE! Modern Combat Team: We decided to launch a Kickstarter because we want this to be the beginning of a new brand of miniatures and games. If the campaign is successful, we’ll have the support needed to release new factions and expand the two existing ranges available in the core box.
We also plan to develop new game modes—solo, co-op, and more—based on the requests we’ve already received from our backers.
